Removed alot of scratches

A client had used a dirty microfiber cloth and scratched the bonnet heavily. I used this along with final finish and then polished it to get the glossy paint finish once again.

Removed paint

I tried it on three vehicles and the results were the same. Instead of removing scratches the paint was removed. It might be a very abrasive compound, more than expected. I was able to get the lighter scratches very easily with this. First one I did with a cutting pad, the other car I used foam pad and the third car I did by hand. I think I need some help from wavex to use the product better.

Dear Sir,

Heavy cut compound will be used on extremely contaminated surfaces only, it should never be used on fresh paints or new cars.

It is used on repainted surfaces to make the paint even, or on highly rusty or contaminated paints.

Also, it works in combination with step 2 (Mild) and step 3(Fine)

It means, after using hard compound, you must have to treat the surface with step 2 mild compound and then step 3 for final glossy results.

For low contamination or new paints, you can directly use Step 3 compounds or step 2 if contamination is more.
