HOW TO MAINTAIN LIFE OF CERAMIC COATINGS?
So you’re probably here because you’ve already applied the WaveX 10H Graphene Ceramic Coating or the WaveX 9H Quartz + SiO2 Ceramic Coating to your beloved Hatchback, Sedan, SUV, Sports Car, Station Wagon, Convertible, Coupe, Pick Up, 4x4 or any other model that you drive and have a voice in the back of your head that’s constantly saying-
“I’m extremely pleased with the results of WaveX’s Ceramic Coating and I just wish that my vehicle’s condition stays this way for the next couple of years.”
If that is the case, then this is exactly the article for you! We will be discussing about the effective ways to protect and maintain your vehicle’s ceramic coating and to ensure that it remains in pristine condition for years to come.
Understanding Ceramic Coatings
Ceramic coatings are clear semi-permanent coatings that provide the vehicle’s exterior painted surfaces with a high gloss finish coupled with protection against water and contamination. Industrial grade professional ceramic coatings such as WaveX Auto Care’s range of Ceramic Coatings come in various ‘hardness’ that is denoted by the alphabet ‘H’. For example- WaveX ‘10H’ Graphene Ceramic Coating Kit, WaveX ‘9H’ Quartz + SiO2 Ceramic Coating Kit, etc.
The ‘H’ in ceramic coatings is a concept that was conceived by German Geologist and Mineralogist- Friedrich Mohs.
WaveX’s range of ceramic coatings provide vehicles with:
- High gloss mirror finish
- Super hydrophobicity
- Contamination resistance
- UV protection
- Paint protection
- Frost resistance
- Graffiti resistance
And the list goes on…
What comes after ceramic coatings?
When you purchase a vehicle from its dealership is that the end of it or do you need to maintain it? That’s pretty obvious- you do need to maintain it by using premium auto care products such as WaveX’s range of interior and exterior maintenance products to clean, protect and maintain it furthermore, you need to occasionally take it to its dedicated service center to ensure that it remains in top notch running condition.
Similarly, when a ceramic coating is applied to a vehicle, you need to follow certain steps to maintain it to ensure that its effect do not prematurely wear off.
When your vehicle’s ceramic coating has effectively cured, you would need to use WaveX’s Graphene Wash Shampoo and WaveX’s Maxximus Graphene Ceramic Paste Wax to protect and maintain its ceramic coating.
Why the WaveX Graphene Wash Shampoo?
Graphene coatings are coatings with graphene molecules grafted onto the ceramic backbone. The Ceramic molecules bond with the car and the graphene portion of the molecule is on top, forming the surface of the coating. Essentially, they are ceramic coatings with improved characteristics.
The WaveX Graphene Ceramic Wash Shampoo is an impeccable graphene coated vehicle washing solution that combines the properties of a foaming degreaser and shampoo which aids in the removal of unwanted contaminants without harming your vehicle’s existing coating, sealant or wax.
It is also a shampoo that is recommended for revitalizing and maintaining the coatings that have been produced from our range of professional auto detailing products such as polishes, waxes and detailing compounds. Available in a 650 ml pack size the WaveX Graphene Ceramic Wash Shampoo helps to decontaminate the coatings by removing harmful contaminants that would damage the coating’s durability and interfere with its hydrophobic and self-cleaning properties.
Generally speaking, you could use an ordinary vehicle wash shampoo but then again, it would not have the same ‘coating revitalizing effects’ of the WaveX Graphene Wash Shampoo.
Why use the WaveX Maxximus Graphene Ceramic Paste Wax?
The WaveX Maxximus Graphene Ceramic Paste Wax, arguably the greatest, most scientifically advanced and effective premium paste wax in the auto detailing industry. With a ground breaking blend of Graphene, SiO2, polymers and multiple waxes such as Carnauba, Monocrystalline Wax and Bees Wax, this premium paste wax is in a league of its own.
Graphene, an allotrope of Carbon is the strongest element known to mankind. With a tensile strength of 130 gigapascals, it is 129.6 times stronger than structural steel. Now imagine the kind of protection it offers cars and bikes when it is applied to their exterior surfaces?
On the other hand, SiO2 which stands for Silicone Dioxide is a part of one of the most complex yet abundant families of materials that exist as compounds of several minerals and synthetic products. It is used for the production of concrete, glass, cosmetics, high temperature thermal protection fabric and much more.
Finally, Carnauba Wax, Monocrystalline Wax and Bees Wax Polymers, manufactured using the finest and purest waxes leaves your vehicle with an astonishingly brilliant deep mirror gloss shine and hyrdrophobicity that prevents rusting and corrosion.
This ‘multi-blend’ formulation is so unique and effective that (believe it or not) it could help you replace all traditional vehicle waxes, polishes and sealants due to its ease of application and effectiveness. After years of clinical trials and tests, we have managed to infuse Maxximus Graphene Ceramic Paste Wax with SiO2, Graphene, Multiple Waxes and Polymers to create a formulation that would give your car or bike’s paint a brand new deep glossy wet paint look.
The Maxximus Graphene Ceramic Paste Wax offers 2X more hydrophobicity over other ceramic waxes and a whopping 4X more hydrophobicity and clarity over traditional vehicle waxes.
Graphene and SiO2 on the other hand will protect your vehicle against the harsh UV rays of the sun and will prevent paint discolouration and coating degradation. Their heat resistance properties will also help avert exterior paint damage that sometimes occurs due to the vehicle’s exterior surfaces overly heating up which is why this product can be applied in direct sunlight and on warm or cool paint finishes.
How and when should one use both of these products?
Now that you understand the benefits of the WaveX Graphene Wash Shampoo and the WaveX Maxximus Graphene Ceramic Paste Wax, let us explain the right methods of using both of them.
It is recommended that the WaveX Graphene Wash shampoo be used using the traditional bucket wash method. All you need to do is, pour 25 ml of the shampoo to the WaveX Wash Bucket filled with 4-5 ltrs of water. Use the WaveX Lamb Wool Wash Mitt to effectively clean the vehicle’s exterior surfaces.
Once you’ve dried your vehicles using any one of WaveX’s premium Microfiber Cloths, apply the WaveX Maxximus Graphene Ceramic Paste Wax to it. 25 gm of the paste wax is all that you need for an entire vehicle which means that a thin and even layer has to be applied to the vehicle using the WaveX Foam Applicator or the WaveX microfiber Applicator Pads.
Leave the wax and allow it to dry to a haze. Once that is done, buff the vehicle’s surface in a circular motion using a WaveX Microfiber cloth or the WaveX Dual Action Polisher Machine.
Usually, the effects of the Maxximus paste wax can last up to 3-4 weeks. You only have to apply it to your vehicle’s exterior painted surfaces once you feel that its effects have started wearing off.
